I love gaming and i've experience in programming 2D games: i've contributed to various open-source projects, such as Ogre3D and libgdx and i'm the author of a free libgdx post-processing library.

I really really love real-time graphic techniques and shading: i've also designed and implemented the initial post-processing framework for Ogre3D, now integrated in core and called Compositor.

I was hired by Packt Publishing as a technical reviewer for the book Ogre3D Beginners Guide, a well written example-driven introduction to the engine that helps in understanding the core concepts.

Lately, i designed and programmed an arcade game with libgdx, called AstroSucker (old gameplay video), now available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple iTunes Store, cross-compiled with RoboVM: it's a very simple time killer, but under the hood it sports some interesting technical features such as gradient mapping, CRT screen emulation, time stretching and subframe interpolation.

In 2004 i programmed some unreleased titles for the first Nokia smartphones, and later released a game, written in native Symbian C++ for Nokia Series 60 smarphones, called Rollbot: Escape To Freedom.

Later on (2005) i designed and implemented a cross-platform, object-oriented C++ game framework written from scratch: it runs natively (bare metal) on Windows, Linux, PocketPC and iOS (1st gen) platforms. Primarily written to develop more games on it, it has been an incredibly useful and interesting journey.
